The Ease Cancer Foundation has certified yoga instructors who have trained in yoga that is designed to be adaptable, therapeutic and restorative. Their special training and experience has given them the tools to know how to modify and adapt the poses and movements to be safe and effective. If you are interested in participating in a gentle, therapeutic and healing practice and learning more about yoga please sign up for one of our workshops or contact us.
Yoga can be done at any stage of living with cancer or at any level of physical fitness. The asanas (yoga postures), movements and breathing techniques can be adapted and modified to meet the ability of any person. Flexibility is not a requirement to practice yoga. Even if someone has no prior experience with yoga they are able to participate in the practice of yoga to get benefits. Benefits include stress relief, increased relaxation, pain relief, better breathing, improved flexibility and mobility, increased strength, improved circulation and a sense of calm and well being.

Cancer often changes the body and this can be difficult. Yoga can assist in creating a connection between your body and mind that assists in healing and allowing you a different perspective and relationship with your body.
